broad daylight

insufficient evidence

Be scanty of words

reverse cause and effect

Fried beans and beans

get rid of the stains--get rid of a bad practice

The broken stem of a floating duckweed -- wandering about

be blue about the gills

take one's ways(wheel and deal)

camp around

deck oneself out(deck up)

with a covetous look

contemplate one's navel

reduce to nothing

can be done at once

retire into a cloister

throw away everything when fleeing

with a lofty virtue worthy of respect

calculate in small matters
